Hair Loss Prevention - The Proven Methods
Is It All Dads Fault?
Is your Father bald? Maybe both your Grandfathers are too? Don't worry too much, there still plenty of hope for your hair! Most literature on hair loss prevention calls for early action. If you have noticed your hair falling you need to take action as soon as possible! The more hair you have when you start the more you can save! Balding sucks, but you have options! You may have found yourself asking "Why is my hair falling out?"
Unfortunetly, there are plenty of things that can cause balding. You may think you're just unlucky and inherited the trait genetically - but that's not always the case! (you could be the milkmans son afterall, which would explain the red hair - kidding - phew, tough crowd). A few things that could be causing your balding:
- Under or Hyperactive Thyroid - you can prevent this type of hairloss with treatment of the Thyroid gland. Ask your doctor about this.
- Imbalance of Androgen/Estrogen - Correcting an Androgen/Estrogen imbalance could prevent hair loss. Seek advice from a doctor for testing and treatment options
- The Dreaded Male/Female Pattern Balding (Common Balding) - This is usually passed down genealogically. Catching this one early could help you maintain a full head of hair for years to come. Here's a couple of excellent ways to do that:
Your Best Options for Hair Loss Prevention
Most hair loss prevention products in todays market are geared towards common balding and are usually only made for men. However, one product, namely minoxidil (Branded as Rogaine) can be used by men and women alike. Minoxidil, which is applied directly to the scalp, has been tested quite extensively showing great results. Another product with a great track record is finasteride, it's a pill form medication. This is probably the best performing medication during testing, sadly it's only available by doctor prescription. If you can convince your doctor you need it, this is a great route. This stuff is so good it can even lead to hair growing back!
